Sub. Recognition of Technical and Professional Qualifications
On The recommendation of the Board of Assessment for Technical and Professional Qualifications, the Government of India have decided to recognize a pass in the Associateship Examination of the Textile Association (India) for purposes of recruitment to subordinate posts and services under the Central Government in the appropriate field.

Sub. Agreement regarding Pay Scales of Technical and Supervisory Staff-Recognition of Professional Awards of; Associateship of the Textile Association
The Bombay Branch of the Textile Association (India) recently approached the Association with a request that the professional awards of Associateship of the Textile Association (ATA) might be considered as equipment to diploma for the purpose of recruitment of personnel to supervisory positions in member mills of the Association. The request was considered by the Committee of the Association and the Committee has accorded recognition to the above-mentioned qualification as equivalent to a diploma for the purpose of the requirement to supervisory positions in member mills.
The technical qualifications recognized by the Association in this respect are given at page 189 of the Association's publication 'Handbook' of Service Conditions of Operatives; Clerks and Technical and Supervisory Staff in the Bombay Cotton Textile Industry (May 1975). In view of the Committee's decision members are advised that the award of the 'Association (India) might be considered as a qualification equivalent to a diploma for the purpose of recruitment to supervisory positions in mills.
