An internship of Textile Students was arranged by the TAI-Ahmedabad Unit for Sem-6 students of Textile Technology from L D College of Engineering. Eminent speakers were invited from industry to deliver the talk. Also, students were taken to industry for hands on training.
8th - 10th July, 2024
An internship of Textile students was arranged by TAI-Ahmedabad unit for Sem-2 students of Diploma in DTMT (RCTI) Ahmedabad. Introductory Topics like: Introduction to Spinning, Chemical Processing and Weaving were covered.
6th -12th August, 2024
Overseas Conference & sightseeing
An overseas conference was arranged by The Textile Association (India) Central Office on 7th August, 2024 at Colombo, Sri Lanka. The said conference also attended by the 17 Managing Committee Members from TAI-Ahmedabad Unit. Along with the conference a local sightseeing was arranged over there for the members of Ahmedabad Unit.

77th Annual General Meeting
The Textile Association (India) Ahmedabad Unit arranged its 77th Annual General Body Meeting on 21st September 2024 at its premises Dinesh Hall, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad. The AGM was conducted as per the agenda, and Shri Haishchandra C. Shah, Hon. Secretary welcomed the meeting and presented the association’s activities from 1st April, 2023 to 31st March 2024. Shri Hasmukhbhai S. Patel, President remarked in his speech that the association organized regular technical programs and also carried out activities for member’s welfare and now association is also working towards the society activities. Not only that association also arranged Internship textile training program for the textile engineering students of L. D. College of Engineering and RCTI, Ahmedabad.
Prize distribution function to Bright Students
The Textile Association (India) – Ahmedabad Unit also arranged a prize distribution function to the bright students from donors of “Late Shri B. A. Shah Educational & Welfare Fund; Hirabhai J. Patel Textile students diploma/degree fund and other funds” held on 21st September’ 2024 at Dinesh Hall, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad. During the prize distribution function the association distributed total 27 Mementoes and 48 certificates to the selected qualified students of SSC/CBSE, HSC-Science & Commerce, Ph.D in Textile Engineering, Bachelor & Master of Pharmacy, LLB, BDS & other Engineers (Computer, Electrical etc). Shri Hirabhai J. Patel, Vice President handed over the certificates & mementoes to the Textile Manufacturing, Textile Technology & Textile Engineering rankers’ student of LDCE & RCTI, Ahmedabad. Every year association has been organizing this function to encourage the students. One memento with certificate handed over to ATA wet processing pass-out student through TAI-Ahmedabad unit in the year 2023 from N. H. Shah Public Charitable Trust fund.

Life Time Achievement Awards
As a part of prize distribution function The Textile Association (India) - Ahmedabad Unit also gave Lifetime Achievement Awards to the most senior and honorable members Shri Nalinbhai R. Shah & Shri Kiritkumar D. Joshi, who rendered their valuable services towards the association & Textile Industries for almost 40 years in different way. Their contributions were memorable to the association. This lifetime achievement award was donated by Late Shri B. R. Shah, Past President and Trustee of the TAI-Ahmedabad Unit.
Unit level Service Memento Award
The Textile Association (India) Ahmedabad Unit awarded a Unit level Service Memento to Shri Hiteshkumar V. Trivedi, Jt. Hon. Secretary of TAI-AU donated by “Khushaldas H. Shah” for rendering best services towards the association for the period of 2021-2023.
