DKTE and TAIMU Student Chapter jointly organised Poster Presentation competition program under SPICES on August 27, 2022. In order to upskill the creativity among the student’s fraternity this competition was organised. The theme of the was “The World of Textiles” past, present and future under which smart and space garments, sustainable textiles, future of denims and other topics were given. Students exhibited their skills using their creativity and imagination to redefine the trends in textile. Newly elected TAIMU student chapter office bearers elected for the academic year 2022-23 were the backbone behind the successful execution of this event. The event was the very first episode of the activities arranged by TAIMU (The Textile Association (India) Ichalkaranji – Miraj Unit) 2022-23.
The competition had very good response and around 100 registrations were received from B. Tech. Textile, Diploma all branches and B. Voc Branches.
The competition was allowed the two students on one registration and was given 3 hours to create the poster from point zero with no initial preparation.
Dr. Saatish Lavate sir, the Hon. Secretary of the TAIMU and Coordinator Prof. R. H. Deshpande sir along with faculty Dr. Pooja Katkar and Prof. Swati Chavan assessed the beautiful creation of students.
While every poster was perfection of its own, Cash prize Rupees 1500/- for the winner and Rupees 1000/- was awarded to the runner-up. It was bagged by Nikita Mahale & Gunjan Pandhare as winner and Parshati Bhagawat & Vaishnavi Bade as runner-up. There posters stood out and depicted the exact timeline of the textiles. TAIMU Student Chapter President and his team strived hard to make this event successful. Faculty coordinators guided the students.
