Mr. R. K. Vij is MBA from Delhi University, Post Graduate Diploma in Management from YMCA, New Delhi and Bachelor of Technology in Textiles from The Technological Institute of Textile & Sciences, (TITS) Bhiwani (Haryana).

Initially, he worked with Calico Mill, Ahmedabad (1973-1975); DCM Group (1975-1987) and BRPL (1987 – 1994).

Mr. Vij has an extensive experience of over 49 years in successfully managing business of Textiles and Fibers in dynamic and competitive business scenario. At p[resent he is Advisor – Polyester at M/s Indorama Synthetics (India) Limited . He worked on various positions from Production Manager, Marketing Head, Business Head and Govt. Liaison etc.

The history of Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Limited since 1995, when it first forayed into the business of polyesters, Company offers a wide range of polyester products which include Polyester Staple Fibre (PSF), Partially Oriented Yarn (POY), Draw Texturised Yarn (DTY), Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY) and Polyester Chips. He has vast experience in all products of MMF. He works with the Govt. for the growth of MMF in India.

Mr. Vij is Secretary General of Polyester Textiles and Apparel Association (PTA). He regularly participates in CII, FICCI, FIO, CITI, NIMA meetings. He interacts with Textile Ministry, Chemical Ministry in the policy discussions etc.

He is a Sports man and represented Punjab state as a Badminton player and Secretary of RWA of Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi. He is also advisor and on Board of SPS School, Sanjeevani Kaya Shodhan Sansthan Haryana.

Mr. Vij is actively involved with The Textile Association (India), Delhi Unit and also with the TAI Central. He is a recipient of Service Memento, awarded in 2007 by the Textile Association (India) at All India Textile Conference held at Ahmedabad. He also got Gold Medal Award and Industry Excellence Award.

Mr. R. K. Vij was Vice President of The Textile Association (India) – Central Office during the term 2017-2019 and 2019-2021.
